Fish tacos are a regular Monday night meal for us. Why? Well, because they’re delicious, healthy, and easy to make. Why Mondays? That boils down to the fact that our community waste collection is on Tuesdays, so I don’t have to have fishy smelling debris in the compost and garbage for more than one night. Seriously, keeping that stuff around makes for poor neighbours!

Meal Plan for the Week of September 22, 2018

This week is a mixed bag of food. On Sunday I’m supplying a meal for a friend who recently had back surgery, so Saturday night’s dinner is supplying that–big batch baked pasta. I’m going old school on Sunday, Mexican on Monday, and experimenting on Wednesday. How could I not when a local International grocery store is advertising goat ribs? Goat Ribs! I have to try that! Meal Plan for the Week of August 4, 2018

It’s a long weekend! I hope you have planned a weekend full of absolutely nothing! Get out there and have a good time! My youngest comes home from camp on Saturday afternoon, so we’re going to be having two of his favourites–Dad’s burgers and Caesar salad. On Monday I am experimenting with a BBQ sauce idea based on our favourite hotdog toppings. Stay tuned for results. Meal Plan for the Week of June 9, 2018

We are still loving the grill, and the weather is supporting this love affair. We’re running the gamut of proteins this week: chicken, fish, beef, and pork (and beans!). We had to make some adjustments to last week’s plan because life just got in the way, so the Thai Beef with Spicy Green Beans is on repeat because we never actually got to make it. Monday is Corn on the Cob Day, so we will be having grilled corn with our fish tacos, because who are we to let a “holiday” go by unacknowledged?
