Meal Plan for the Week of March 10-16

The freezer is pretty full right now, and there are no exceptional specials this week (except stewing beef for $3.99/lb at Loblaws), so we are saving some money by living out of the freezer.  It’s a great way to cut back on the weekly grocery budget from time to time and creates space for when those really great meat specials happen and you want to stock up.  The featured recipe is a Broccoli, Ham, and Cheddar Frittata (pictured).

Saturday

Chicken Wings, Oven Fries and coleslaw

Sunday

Beef Stew with Dumplings

Monday

Broccoli, Ham and Cheddar Frittata with a Potato Crust

Tuesday

Cuban Sandwiches with Coleslaw

Wednesday

4 C Butter Chicken with Basmati rice and Naan

Thursday

Beef Burgers with Broccoli Salad

Friday

Chili-Lime Chicken and Rice Skillet

This week’s featured recipe will be the Broccoli, Ham, and Cheese Frittata with a Potato Crust.  What do you think of this plan? Which meals do you think you will try?

Hi Elizabeth, and thanks for reading. As you can see, my blog is very new and recipes will be going up a bit at a time. Hopefully, before long I will be able to provide links for all the recipes in each weekly plan. In the meantime, because I’m generally an intuitive cook, I am trying to turn my concoctions into actual recipes. I wrote out the step-by-step as I was making the stew on Sunday night (and it was really delicious!), and when I have the recipe ready I will post it for you. Thanks so much for your interest. X
